Project Management & Sustainability Training Module

Course objectives

The aim of this training is to provide participants with core tools and techniques for managing projects through their life cycles from project identification, to appraisal, approval, implementation and closure, and most particularly ensuring a healthy portfolio.
The training also serves to provide participants with an understanding of project and project management, to enable participants Identify the responsibilities and required skills of the project manager and other actors in a project, to introduce the basic five step project management lifecycle, to equip participants with the practical tools and techniques to plan, deliver, monitor results, and evaluate a project.

Learning Outcomes

At the end of the course, participants should be able to: • Define a project and explain what project management means • Identify the responsibilities and required skills of the project manager and other actors in a project • Use the basic five-step project management lifecycle • Use the practical tools and techniques to plan, deliver and monitor a project.

Training Approach

The course is taught through a combination of lectures and group work, and in both English and French.
